Concrete mixer has paddles 5 moving within an annular container 6, and steam is supplied to nozzles 7 on the paddles to heat the concrete. The steam is supplied from a pipe 1 through a rotating joint 2 and through hollow arms 4 on which the paddles are mounted. The nozzles 7 are behind the paddles, so that they are not blocked by the concrete. Alternatively the paddles may be fixed and the container rotates.</p> |
