PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper holder for holding a paper container for wet tissues or the like indoors such as in a toilet in a state that a user can easily use. SOLUTION: The paper holder for holding a storage container 1 receiving a plurality of overlaid sheets of paper 2 includes a cylindrical body 12 for receiving and holding the storage container 1, a take-out port 16 formed on the body 12 and connected with a take-out opening of the storage container 1 and a support means 11 for supporting the body 12 in a hanging state. The body 12 has a constitution that a cross-sectional form of the body 12 varies depending on a residual amount of stored paper.
