PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fishing rod having a fixing part for a fishing line guide capable of dealing with the bending of a rod body and having excellent damage resistance and to provide a method for producing the fishing rod. SOLUTION: A fishing line guide 6 for this fishing rod is fixed as follows. A wind yarn 20 being a thread member made of nylon yarn, etc., is wound plural times on a fixing part 13 of the fishing line guide 6 and a rod body 1 in a state of the fixing part 13 arranged in a given position of the rod body 1 to fix the fishing line guide. The wind yarn 20 is impregnated with an epoxy resin 21 after winding the wind yarn 20 the wind yarns 20 are mutually stuck and the wind yarn 20, the fixing part 13 and the rod body 1 are sufficiently stuck to fix the fishing line guide. After the epoxy resin 21 is cured the peripheral face of the epoxy resin 21 is coated with a not yellowing type acrylic urethane resin 22.
