PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining an extruded shape wherein a plurality of extruded shapes with a first face plate, a second face plate and columns for connecting each face plate in parallel can be easily joined while one surface is made smooth, the extruded shape and the extruded shape for joining. SOLUTION: End edges of of projected parts 5a of face plates 5 are butted together and are frictionally agitated and joined from an arrow mark A side and successively, after a space between face plates are bridged by a plate part 15 of an extruded shape 11 for joining, both ends of the plate part 15 and the face plate 3 are frictionally agitated and joined from an arrow mark B side. Therefore, the surfaces of the face plates 5 becomes smooth. In addition, as the extruded shape 11 for joining is fixed on the extruded shape 1 by hooking of hooking parts 9a and 13 and tapered parts 3a and 15b are formed on both ends of the face plates 3 and both ends of the plate parts 15, it is easy to hold the extruded shape 11 for joining under bridged condition and as the result, joining work for the extruded shapes 1 can be facilitated to improve workability.
