<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-generating agent composition having a 1-min or shorter rise time in heat generation to 70 deg.C, giving a heating element having a maximum heat generation temperature of 70-80 deg.C, being advantageous in that the heat-generating agent produces little hot vapor during use, and being usable in a portable hot wet towel or the like and to provide a heating element. SOLUTION: There are provided a heat-generating agent composition which is the one used by being packed into a porous packaging material and contains an iron component as the main component, 2-15 wt.%, based on the iron component, active carbon, and 15 wt.% water, has a 1-min or sorter rise time in heat generation to 70 deg.C, giving a heating element having a maximum heat generation temperature of 70-80 deg.C, and suffering little from the production of a hot vapor; and a heating element prepared by packing the heat-generating agent composition containing the iron component as the main component, 2-15 wt.%, based on the iron component, active carbon, and 5-15 wt.% water into a porous packaging material having a gas permeability of 1-50 S/100 cc, having a 1-min or shorter rise time in heat generation to 70, a maximum heat generation temperature of 70-80 deg.C, and suffering little from the production of a hot vapor from the heat-generating agent.</p> |
