<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifying agent with an opaque membrane being broad in the area of optical catalyst substance particles on the formed membrane surface and having high optical catalyst performance and also in which the membrane is not peeled off even in the case that it is immersed into water for a long period. SOLUTION: A membrane incorporating optical catalyst substance particles and ZrO2 particles is formed as a first layer and subsequently on it as a second layer, a single membrane of TiO2 particles, or a membrane incorporating the optical catalyst substance particles and SiO2 particles, TiO2 particles or ZrO2 particles, is formed on a base body. In this case, 5-70 wt.% of the optical catalyst substance particles in the first layer are replaced with zeolite or a zeolite compound.</p> |
