摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain both reduction of Nox in exhaust and reduction of smoke even in a transient condition when a vehicle is started to be accelerated on a control device for a diesel engine in which an air-fuel ratio is maintained to a predetermined desired value by controlling an exhaust circulated amount so as to reduce both NOx in exhaust and smoke. SOLUTION: This control device for a diesel engine is equipped with an acceleration discriminating means 35c for discriminating that an engine 1 is in an accelerating operation condition and a spark-advance control means 35e advancing fuel injection timing so that fuel injection is finished earlier than just before the acceleration discrimination when exhaust circulation control by exhaust circulation control means 35b is performed and the transition of the engine 1 to the accelerating operation condition is discriminated by the acceleration discriminating means 35c. After the fuel injection timing is advance extensively just after acceleration discrimination, it is gradually returned to a phase lag side together with lapse of time until set time corresponding to the initial period of the accelerating operation of the engine 1 is passed through.
