PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for demolding a belt slab from a mold which hardly gives an unreasonable deformation force and damage to teeth of the belt at demolding, and a mold for molding a belt used for it. SOLUTION: An apparatus for demolding a belt slab BS formed on the outer periphery of a mold 1 by moving the mold 1 on which channels 10 for forming belt teeth are formed and whose both ends are closed and whose crosssection is a circular shape in the mold axial direction while the outer face of the belt slab BS is unmovably held by means of a belt press 2, is provided and air jetting holes 10a are formed on the outer peripheral wall of the mold 1 and air is jetted from the air jetting holes 10a by forwarding air under pressure into a hollow part in the mold 1 to form an air layer between the belt slab BS and the mold 1. In addition, the mold for molding the belt is a mold on which channels 10 for forming belt teeth are formed and whose both ends are closed and whose crosssection is a circular shape and the bottom lid 12 of the top and bottom lids 11 and 12 for closing end parts of the cylinder has a little smaller diameter than that corresponding to the bottom face of the teeth forming channels 10 of the belt and a plurality of air jetting holes 10a are formed on the outer peripheral wall face.
