PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic closing mechanism by bonding a rubber permanent magnet to a fabric, and forming a fastener with two thin and slender foldable strip-like rubber magnets having strong magnetic force. SOLUTION: Rubber magnet portions 1, 2 are made of two slender and thin strip-like rubber magnets, and the lower rubber magnet portion 2 is made thicker and is made of a material with stronger magnetic force. The lower ends of the rubber magnet portions 1, 2 are overlapped and bonded together to form a bonded portion 3. The rubber magnet portions 1, 2 are firmly bonded or sewn to strong fabric portions 7, 7' to be fitted to trousers. The fabric portions 7, 7' are fitted to the front opening section of the trousers by sewing or affixing. When the trousers are worn, they are fastened with a band, and the rubber magnet portions 1, 2 are certainly overlapped and automatically bonded together. If buttons 5 and button holes 4 are added to this fastener made of rubber magnets, the rubber magnet portions 1, 2 can be certainly overlapped and bonded together by the buttons 5 arranged on the outside when the trousers are worn, and they are prevented from being forgotten to be closed.
