摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding method capable of easily detecting deviation of the focal position of a welding laser from a prescribed position during welding. SOLUTION: In a laser beam welding method in which welding is performed by guiding the optical path of a welding laser beam 10 from a laser generator 1 by mediums 5, 6 to an object 8 to be welded; a laser range finder 2, which can measure the distance of the optical path of the measuring laser beam 20 by emitting and receiving the laser beam 20, is arranged at a position where the object 8 is irradiated with the measuring laser beam 20 guided by the mediums 5, 6, the distance of the optical path of the measuring beam 20 is measured by the laser range finder 2 at the time of welding, and, from the change in the measured distance, deviation is detected of the focal position of the welding laser beam 10 from the prescribed position.</p>
