PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material which permits easy execution of attaching work. SOLUTION: A bottom joint joiner 30 is equipped with a main body 31 having a recessed portion 31A at the rear, a cover portion 32 having an L-shaped cross section projected out from the other portion of the main body 31, and a positioning projected piece 33 which is projected out from the rear surface of the main body 31 and is detachable from the main body 31. The positioning projected piece 33 has its base portion located at the bottom surface of the recessed portion 31A provided at the rear surface of the main body 31. When installing at the first position contacting a backing member, the positioning projected piece 33 is broken and separated. A trace of separation is positioned inside the recessed portion 31A, and no projected member remains from the rear surface of the main body 31. In this way, it can be fixed easily and accurately at the first position and the attaching work for the bottom joint joiner 30 can be made easier.
