PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device suitable for continuously allowing a liquid to be treated to flow from the inlet to the exit in the device in an approximately piston flow state and simultaneously smoothly separating the generated volatiles such as ethylene glycol to subject the liquid to a polycondensation reaction, thus continuously producing the polymer having a good quality, and to provide a method for producing the polymer. SOLUTION: This method for continuously producing a condensation polymer is obtained by disposing a lowering pipe 3 in the center of a main body 1, attaching a spiral baffle 5 inclined to form a high outer periphery on the outside of the lowering pipe, and forming a space for raising the gases generated in the reaction between the outer circumferential portion of the baffle and the inner wall of the main body. Thereby, the liquid to be treated can be allowed to flow from the inlet to the exit in the device in a substantially piston flow state, and volatiles such as the generated ethylene glycol can simultaneously smoothly be separated to advance the polycondensation reaction. Thus, the polymer having a good quality can continuously be produced.
