PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost and improve durability by forming a recessed/projecting part corresponding to a recessed part or a projecting part formed in the inner peripheral surface of an outer pipe on the outer peripheral surface of a sliding bush made of oil retaining sintered metal, and by forming a sliding hole with a cross sectional shape corresponded to a non-circular cross section of an inner shaft on the inner peripheral side. SOLUTION: A sliding bush 13 is molded by compacting metal powders, and is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape by forging the metal powders. A projecting part 14 corresponding to a recessed part 3 formed in the inner peripheral surface of an outer pipe 1 is formed on the outer peripheral surface, and flat surfaces 15 repectively corresponding to flat surfaces 5 formed at four circumferential places of an inner shaft 4 are formed on the inner peripheral side. By forming a green compact having a sliding hole 16 with a shape corresponded to a non-circular cross section, sintering this, and then dipping it in a lubricating oil for a fixed period or impregnating the lubricating oil in an internal porous space in a vacuum method, the sliding bush 13 made of an annular oil retaining sintered metal is formed. Thus, almost no abrasion occurs on a sliding surface, and durability is extremely improved.
