PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure correct measurement by preventing a measured part such as the thigh or the like from touching a body fat sensor and reducing the effect of pressing by arranging the body fat sensor to measure percent body fat from an increase or a decrease in the quantity of reflected light by projecting light from a light-emitting section to the skin between a plurality of projections formed on the surface of a toilet seat. SOLUTION: When a user operates an operating section 7, a control section 5 drives a light emission circuit 4 and turns on a light emission section 11. This light is reflected on the thigh of a user seated on a toilet seat 15, and this reflected light is received by the light reception section 12. On this occasion, as the body fat layer of the thigh scatters or absorbs light, the quantity of light received depends on the body fat layer of the thigh. A signal corresponding to the quantity of light received is conveyed from the light reception circuit 3 to the control section 5, percent body fat is computed in the control section 5 and displayed on a display section 6. A body fat sensor 1 is arranged among a plurality of projections 15a to 15c formed in the toilet seat and prevents the thigh as a measured part from touching the body fat sensor and allowing a correct measurement.
