PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost and bolted-construction motorcycle body frame. SOLUTION: A backbone type body frame 1 consists of a head portion 2, a center portion 3, and a left and right pivot plates 5, all molded independently and bolted together. An engine hanger arm 4 is projected sideways from either side of the middle portion of the center portion 3. The extremity end of each engine hanger arm 4 is coupled via a bolt 14 to an extension 13 forming part of the associated pivot frame 5, and the base thereof is situated forwardly of the center of the crankshaft.
