PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and properly spread a blood vessel contrast medium to a desired contrast forming position without damaging a blood vessel wall, a ventricular wall or the like of a living body. SOLUTION: A catheter forward end positioned at the main trunk of the left coronary arteries is provided with small holes 16 and 17 on a side wall separately from a forward end hole 15, and when a blood vessel contrast medium is filled at a preset pressure, a lot of contrast medium is injected not only from the forward end hole 15 but also from the small holes 16 and 17. According to this construction, the catheter forward end is not pushed back from the coronary arteries to the aorta, due to injection pressure, different from the case of injection only from the forward end hole 15. Also, even when the forward end if deformed toward the blood vessel wall, the amount of the contrast medium injection from the forward end wall 15 is substantially reduced due to the contrast medium injected from the small holes 16 and 17, thereby preventing damages to the blood vessel wall due to a jet injection. |
