PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate a imaging performance test program efficiently by substituting variables for specific information in a test file for imaging performance test to obtain a orthoscopic test file, storing the orthoscopic test file and then substituting the specific information for the variables in the file. SOLUTION: A test file including an image and/or text is made at a work station 12 using an appropriate software and stored in a memory using a page description language, e.g. postscript. A postscript data corresponding to the test file is then accessed from the memory and edited by script at the work station 12, a raster image processor (RIP 14), or the like. The script finds outs a text in the postscript corresponding to specific information of test and converts the text with variables to make an orthoscopic test file which is then down loaded to the RIP 14 and stored in the memory. |
