PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent one end part of an outer wire from being detached from a locking groove by the inertia force as much as possible by providing in a handle case the specified locking groove extending in the direction forming an angle from the closing direction of a door. SOLUTION: A locking groove 42 one end of which is opened, the other end of which is closed, which is straight and extended in the direction forming an angleαfrom the closing direction 44 of a tail gate 11, is formed in a support substrate 41. Thus, the inertia force in closing the tail gate 11 is applied to an engagement tube 45 in the direction forming an angleαfrom the direction in which the engagement tube 45 at one end part of an outer wire 39 is detached from the locking groove 42, and one end part of the outer wire, i.e., the engagement tube 45 is not detached from the locking groove by the inertia force even with an extremely simple engagement structure that locking claws 46, 47 are projected on both side surfaces of the locking groove 42. The inertia force is effected in the direction in which rather the engagement tube 45, i.e., one end part of the outer wire is pressed into a closed end side of the locking groove 42.
