SOLUTION: This device 6 is the one in which a continuously running wire rod 1 is dipped into a cleaning bath 4 and is subjected to cleaning treatment, and, after that, the remaining cleaning soln. adhered to the wire rod is removed, and it has a suction chamber 6 in which the cleaning soln. adhered to the wire rod is sucked from a slit-shaped opening elongating along the running direction of the wire rod and a separation chamber 62 communicating with this suction chamber. The separation chamber has a volume capable of securing the residence time of the cleaning soln. of a mixed fluid of the cleaning soln. introduced from the suction chamber and air required for the falling of it to the bottom part of the separation chamber, moreover, the bottom part of the separation chamber is connected with a recovery tube 63 introducing the cleaning soln. fallen there into a soln. storage tank 7 for the cleaning soln. to be fed to the cleaning bath, and, on the other hand, the upper part of the separation chamber is connected with a suction tube 65 elongating to a suction blower 64.
