PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce rotational loss of a pulley in a transmission for a vehicle comprising a driving pulley, a driven pulley and a driving belt. SOLUTION: A cover member 51 is provided to cover the outer periphery of a lower part including pulley rotating speed detecting protrusion parts 52 of a driving pulley 8 positioned below in a transmission device storage chamber R1 for storing a transmission device comprising the driving pulley 8, a driven pulley 9 and a driving belt 10. The tip face 51bs of a face, opposed to the pulley chamber internal wall surface 54, of the cover member 51 is disposed with a clearance V to the pulley chamber internal wall surface 54. With a transmission for a vehicle thus constituted, the infiltration quantity of lubricating oil into the vicinity of the outer periphery of the pulley positioned below is reduced to restrain lubricating oil from being agitated by the protrusion parts of the rotating pulley, thereby reducing rotational loss of the pulley and preventing oxidation and degradation of lubricating oil. |
