PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact starter protector device easily mountable on a starter, by making the most of a vacant space not utilized in the past. SOLUTION: A starter protector device preventing excessive heat generation of a starter and restarting during operation or the like of an engine comprises an auxiliary switch 120 performing opening/closing operation of a main switch of the starter, a mounting bracket 125 having main unit part 125a extended in a peripheral direction along an outer peripheral surface of a housing 123 of the auxiliary switch 120 and to be secured thereto, and a pair of leg parts 125b integrally extended in almost parallel from the main unit part 125a, and a protection circuit 130 provided in a space formed between the leg parts 125b to make the auxiliary switch 120 perform opening operation under a prescribed condition. A case 131 of the protection circuit 130 is guided by the leg part 125b, to be positioned, and the case 131 is provided with a flange 132 fixable to be starter with the leg part 125b of the mounting bracket 125.
