PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner wherein a motor is securely supported by a main body thereof and the vibration of the motor can be absorbed to prevent the vibration from being transmitted to the main body, thereby reducing noises. SOLUTION: The front and rear parts of a motor 24 incorporated in a main body 21 are supported by a front supporting body 47 and a rear supporting body 51, respectively. Either or both the bodies 47, 51 are formed from a plurality of elastic materials having different hardness to securely support the motor 24 by supporting bodies of high hardness. And the motor 24 is supported by the supporting body having lower hardness to absorb the vibration thereof so that the vibration is prevented from being transmitted to the main body 21 to reduce noises.
