PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reconcile a low torque and a sealing property, and to reduce an airflow rate to make an elastic seal non-contact and a seal torque zero. SOLUTION: A roll shaft 1 is provided with seal means 5, which comprises an elastic seal 8 and an air nozzle 9, outside of bearings 3, 4 supporting a roll member 2. Each the air nozzle 9 makes the elastic seal 8 non-contact by an air pressure. In this structure, an elastic modulus of the elastic seal 8 is set to 650 g/mm or less, preferably, within a range of 300-600 g/mm. |
