<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the production efficiency of a vehicle assembly line by detecting any discrepancy quickly and assuring quality in each zone. SOLUTION: This vehicle assembly line comprises, in the order named, a wiring/transmission equipment outfitting zone 20 for installing wiring/ transmission components sequentially in a vehicle body 11 after a painting step, checking them and repairing them if necessary; an interior trimming zone 30 for mounting interior trimming components sequentially, checking them and repairing them if necessary; a chassis outfitting zone 40 for mounting chassis components sequentially, checking them and repairing them if necessary; an exterior trimming zone 50 for mounting exterior trimming components sequentially, checking them and repairing them if necessary; and a composite quality assuring zone 60 for inspecting items not repaired in those zones 20 to 50 and repairing them if necessary. Both inspection and repairing sections of each functional zone can thus finish all the inspection and repairing that is required in the same zone.</p> |
