PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently break scum without increasing load by providing a spiral nozzle scattering the sewage pumped up from an aeration tank by a pump slantwise and conically to a water surface toward a downstream direction of a water stream at a vicinity position at the upstream side of an aeration machine of the aeration tank. SOLUTION: In an oxidation ditch 1 biologically treating org. sewage with activated sludge, a circulation water passage 11 is formed by disposing a parting wall 12 in a central longitudinal direction, and a total of four aeration machines 2 are provided symmetrily two by two at its inside, and a clockwise circulation water passage is formed. And in an oxidation ditch 1, a splinkling equipment 3 is provided, and the sewage pumped up from the aeration tank by the pump 4 is introduced to the splinkling equipment 3, and the sewage is sprayed slantwise and conically to the water surface toward the downstream direction of the clockwise circulation water passage from plural spiral nozzles 32 by interposing a header pipe of the splinkling equipment 3 at the vicinity position at the upstream side of the aeration machine 2. Thus the scrum in effectively destroyed.
