PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost pedal device simple in structure with a small number of part items. SOLUTION: In this pedal device, a pedal arm 2 provided with a boss 4 on one end 2a side is oscillatably pivoted to a bracket 10 through a pivot pin 15 inserted through the boss 4, and the boss 4 is protrusively provided with a spring fitting arm 5 for supporting an assist spring. The boss 4 is made of metal, and the pivot pin 15 is made of a resin and directly insert-fitted into a pin receiving hole 4b provided in the boss 4. Such constitution generates no noise caused by contact between metals and contributes to improve drivability in a pedal device particularly for an automobile. In a pedal device with low pedaling force such as a clutch pedal device, load applied to the boss 4 in association with pedaling the pedal arm 2 is small, so that high safety is ensured in spite of the resin-made pivot pin 15.
