PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject injecting agent which can easily be injected from a minimized cut opening, has an excellent ability to adjust a refractive index, and is safe for living bodies, by allowing the agent to contain a hydrophilic polymer. SOLUTION: This injecting agent having a refractive index of preferably >=1.340, more preferably >=1.345, further preferably >=1.350, and a viscosity of preferably <=50,000 cp, more preferably <=30,000 cp, further preferably 10,000 cp contains a hydrophilic polymer in an amount of preferably >=1 wt.%, more preferably >=3 wt.%, further preferably 5 wt.% and preferably <=90 wt.%, more preferably <=85 wt.%, further <=80 wt.%. The hydrophilic polymer is preferably the blend of a polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer with a polyvinylpyrrolidone-based polymer, etc. The injecting agent is directly injected into a lenticular capsule, after an equator lentis devitrified by cataract is extracted.
