PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent vibration of a vertical roller mill at the time of stopping by means of a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: At the time when a quantitative raw material supply apparatus is stopped, a hydraulic pump 21 is stated and at the same time a first solenoid S1 and a third solenoid S3 are switched from off state to on state. Since the S1 is on state, a working fluid is supplied to a chamber 34 in the head side of a cylinder 10 through a switching valve 23 and a head side pipeline L4. Since the S3 of a pilot pressure adjustment valve 61 is on state, the pilot pressure of a switchgear valve 30 opened to atmospheric pressure and the switchgear valve 30 is kept in opened state and a bypass pipeline L5 communicates. Consequently, the working fluid stored in an accumulator 27 is supplied at a high flow rate and high speed to the chamber 34 in the head side through a rod side pipeline L3, the bypass pipeline L5, the switchgear valve 30, and the head side pipeline L4. As a result, a roller can be parted from a table within a short time and vibration can be prevented.
