PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension type expandable gate door capable of preventing sagging of a moving side end part when a door body is expanded, and preventing generation of any gap on a lower part side between vertical frames adjacent to each other when the door body is contracted. SOLUTION: This expandable gate door constitutes door bodies 2, 3 provided with a pantograph mechanism in which a plurality of right-ascending inclined links 13 and left-ascending inclined links 14 are arranged to intersect with each other and connected to each other by pivots 15-17 so that a plurality of rows of diamond-shaped link mechanism parts 7a-7c are vertically arranged, and a plurality of vertical frames 8 connected to the pantograph mechanism 7. One end side of the door bodies 2, 3 is connected to fixed members 4, 5 of suspension stays, etc., and the gap in the longitudinal direction of the links between the pivots 15-17 of the inclined links 13, 14 is set so that upper two sides of at least upper end side link mechanism part 7a and the lower end side link mechanism part 7c of the pantograph mechanism 7 are shorter than the lower two sides.
