PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven sprayer, capable of being easily carried, having excellent operability and not leaking water, when falling down. SOLUTION: This motor-driven sprayer is obtained by sequentially vertically laminating and assembling a liquid case 1 for receiving a spraying liquid, a driving portion case for receiving a motor 11, a gear pump, etc., and a battery case 3 in a size and shape suitable for holding. The motor-driven sprayer thereby does not require a handle and can be operated with one hand. The method for operating the motor-driven sprayer comprises disposing a button 9 on the top portion, pushing the button 9 to push down a lever 6 against the energizing force of a spring 6c, thus separating the tip valve member 9 of a valve-opening or closing lever 6a from the hole 5a of a packing 5, and simultaneously switching on to operate the gear pump to spray a liquid. When a finger is separated from the push button 7, the lever 5 is returned by the force of the spring 6c, and the gear pump is switched off and stopped. The hole 5a is further closed with the valve member 9. Thereby, the liquid case 1 is closed, and the liquid does not spill, even when the sprayer is fallen.
