<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve conveyability and plate attachability by forming a thermal stencil base sheet with a specific residual torque by laminating a thermoplastic resin film and a porous support containing synthetic fiber as a main body. SOLUTION: At the time of conveying, no clogging occurs in a printer, and at the time of attaching a plate, no plate attaching wrinkle occurs, and hence a clear image can be formed. Thus, in the thermal stencil base sheet obtained by laminating a thermoplastic resin film and a porous support containing synthetic fiber as a main body, it is prepared to satisfy a formula of 0.150 <=T-H, wherein T is an arithmetical mean value of an absolute value of a KES type bending torque in a longitudinal direction of the base sheet of a curve of +2.3 and -2.3 (cm-1), H is a bending hysteresis, and (T-H) is a residual torque. The base sheet desirably has the KES type bending rigidity B value in a longitudinal or lateral direction of 0.02 gf.cm2/cm or more. Further, it is preferable that a tensile strength of the sheet in a longitudinal direction is 0.3 kgf/cm or more.</p> |
