PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to go out without anxiety when being away from home for a few days on a trip or the like by watering plants by means of an inexpensive and simple water-service installation for water management of many flowerpots or the like. SOLUTION: Water-absorbing spun nylon fibers excellent in both water-absorbing power and water supply quantity are used in a state of a cord as a water supply wick 1. Water supply reservoir 2, 4 and 6 each have a small hole 4 for drainage on the top of a lid and a hole 5 as an air inlet on the side face of a lid 3 or on the upper side face of the reservoir. When filling reservoirs with water and upending the reservoirs in a broad, shallow water receptacle 10 to pour water into the receptacle 10, the water level of the receptacle is always kept constant regardless of the quantities of water in reservoirs. Thus, the following water supply methods are each or simultaneously applied to plural flowerpots: (1) supplying a flowerpot with water by deeply inserting the one end of a water supply wick from the surface of compost in a flowerpot or the like into the inside and by dipping the other end of a water supply wick into the water receptacle; (2) surface water supply; (3) water supply through the bottom; and (4) shallow-water supply. |
