A safety flasher system for use in vehicles having a brake light and an emergency flasher system comprising a switch coupled to the brake pedal of the vehicle that senses the rapid depression of the brake pedal in combination with the actual pressure and position of the brake pedal to activate the emergency flashers of the vehicle and latch the emergency flashers in an on position until manually disengaged by a switch that is not activated by the brake pedal.
