ULTRAVIOLET ABSORBING FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet absorbing film which is capable of retaining an ultraviolet absorbing effect for a long time in such a state that the film is applied to the outdoor side of glass and also which is free from the deterioration of a protecting layer or a base film due to its suppression. SOLUTION: This ultraviolet absorbing film is constituted of a base film 2, a sticking layer 4 laminated on the second surface side of the base film 2 and a protecting layer 3 laminated so that a surface layer is formed on the first surface side of the base film 2. The protecting layer 3 is formed of a copolymer blended with a reaction-type ultraviolet absorber and an ultraviolet- curable resin and further with a polymerization initiator. The reaction-type ultraviolet absorber is not deposited on the surface of the protecting layer 3 on account of the characteristics of the absorber and thus the ultraviolet absorbing effect is retained to suppress the deterioration of the protecting layer 3 and the base film 2.
