PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate both placement of hydroponic beds (e.g. rock wool) or boxes for vegetables on cultivation racks and recovery from the racks. SOLUTION: The rack plate 10 for placing beds 40 or the like on it comprises two vertical plates 12 each having on their sides facing each other a wheel groove 18 for a rolling wheel, child carts 14 equipped with heads 24 for supporting and vertically moving beds or the like run in the rack 10 in a self-propelled state. Parent carts 28 move in the direction perpendicular to the rack plate 10 on the side of the plate 10, are equipped with child cart-holding rails 34 so that the child cart is able to be shifted from the rack plate 10 to the parent cart 28. Beds or the like transferred from a detaching device 38 and supported with heads 24 of the child carts 14 supported on the parent cart 28 can be held at a preferred position in the rack plate 10 by being carried to the end part of a preferred rack plate 10 with the parent cart 28 and by being transferred to the rack plate 10 through the medium of the child cart 14. When the growth of plants is complete, the child carts 14 are moved below beds or the like with heads fallen, and the beds or the like are lifted by rising heads and can easily be recovered by transferring the child cart 14 to the parent cart 28. |
