PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevation device to improve an operation rate, and achieve high speed of bookbinding processes. SOLUTION: A flat pulley 14 and a timing pulley 16 are fixed to an output shaft 9a of a motor, a flat belt 17 is stretched between a flat pulley 13 and the flat pulley 14, and a timing belt 18 is stretched between a timing pulley 15 and the timing pulley 16. By changing a speed reduction ratio of a power transmission system comprising the flat pulleys 13, 14 and a power transmission system comprising the timing pulleys 15, 16, the flat belt 17 is rotated at a high speed, and the timing belt 18 is rotated at a low speed. A worm shaft 8a is connected to an elevation mechanism of a pallet for loading a sheet bundle, and the pallet loading the sheet bundle is moved down at a low speed or moved up at a low speed by action of roller clutches 11, 12, an electromagnetic clutch 19, and a tensioner 20. An empty pallet is moved up at a high speed. |
