PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating film-forming composition exhibiting good stability with the passage of time and resulting the formation of a homogeneous water- resistant coating film having a good holding force. SOLUTION: This coating or dermatology coating film-forming composition contains a liquid lipid phase containing at least one volatile hydrocarbon oil and a coating film-forming polymer in the liquid lipid phase. Therein, the composition contains at least one polyolefin wax obtained by the polymerization of a >=10C alpha-olefin polymer, wherein the polyolefin wax has a melting point of 50-80 deg.C.
