PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator car enabling partial replacement of a front column of the elevator car when it is damaged or distorted instead of the entire replacement, and easy replacement. SOLUTION: In an elevator car 5 provided with a floor 2, side plates 4 provided to stand on the floor 2, a door having a safety shoe, and a front column 1 formed on either the right or left of the door, the front column 1 is divided into a plurality of sections in parallel with a floor surface, and an upper and a lower front columns 1a, 1b are connected from the inner side of the car 5. In replacing the front column 1 of the elevator car, therefore, the number of workers can be reduced, working time can be shortened, and workability can be improved. Since partial replacement of the front column 1 is enabled, repairing cost can be reduced.
