PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the operability of a speed change lever for regulating the driving speed of a spool driving motor of an electric reel from an output stopped state in many stages. SOLUTION: This electric reel for fishing is obtained by supporting a spool 4 rotatable with a manual handle 7 between side plates 2 and 3 of a reel body 1, attaching a motor for rotating and driving the spool 4 to the reel body 1 or the interior of the spool 4, installing a motor output regulating means 39 for regulating the output of the motor from an output stopped state in many stages in the reel body 1 so that displacing operations can be performed and arranging the motor output regulating means 39 on the peripheral surface at the rear of the side plate 3 of the reel body 1.
