PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a column part and a steering auxiliary part as respectively independent units by connecting the column part to the steering part so as to separate and re-connect. SOLUTION: A housing 2 of a column part A has a first tube body 21 supporting one end part of a first shaft body 11 on an inner face of one end part thereof through a bearing, and a second tube body 22 fitting into an inner face of the other end of the first tube part 21 to move in an axial direction. The other end part of the second tube body 22 is connected to one end part of a power side housing 5 so as to be separated therefrom and re-connected thereto. In this electric steering device, a second shaft body 12 constituting a steering shaft 1 of the column part A is fittingly connected to an input side shaft 31 constituting a power side shaft 3 of a steering auxiliary part B to move in the axial direction. After the second tube body 22 of the column part A is fitted onto the power side housing 5 of the steering auxiliary part B, the two is connected with a fastener 81. Accordingly, the column part A and the steering auxiliary part B can be mass-produced as respectively independent units. |
