PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor offset printer and a multicolor offset printing method capable of effectively preventing the generation of waste printing paper immediately after the start of printing. SOLUTION: A multicolor offset printer has first and second plate cylinders 11, 12 for holding printing plates having two image areas provided on the outer peripheral parts thereof, the first and second blanket cylinders 13, 14 having the same diameter as the first and second plate cylinders 11, 12 and coming into contact with the first and second cylinders 11, 12 to rotate and the impression cylinder 15 having a gripper 83 for holding the leading end part of printing paper provided to the outer peripheral part thereof and coming into contact with the first and second blanket cylinders 13, 14 to rotate. Prior to executing printing, by rotating the impression cylinder 15 four or more times in such a state that the printing paper is held by the gripper 83, an ink saturated state is formed on the first and second blanket cylinders 13, 14 before the execution of printing. |
