PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder allowing safe ascending/descending and requiring no large space. SOLUTION: This ladder device comprises a ladder 4a provided between a lower layer part 2 and an upper layer part 3, and a supporting member 5a of the ladder 4a fixed to the upper part 3. The supporting member 5a has a long hole 26 long in the vertical direction for movably inserting a connection pin 28 fitted to the upper layer part 3 and provided on an upper end part of the ladder 4a the height from a floor level of the lower layer part 2 to a lower end of the long hole 26 is smaller than the length of the ladder 4a, and the height from the floor level of the lower layer part 2 to an upper end of the long hole 26 is not less than the length of the ladder 4a.
