摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which can give a sliding member having excellent heat resistance, slidability, and frictional properties and antistatic properties by including a polyarylene sulfide having a specified or higher melt viscosity as measured at a specified temperature and a specified shear rate with a fluororesin and conductive carbon black. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 30-79 wt.% polyarylene sulfide (e.g. poly-p-phenylene sulfide) having a melt viscosity of 20 Pa s or above as measured at 310 deg.C and a shear rate of 1,200/sec; 20-50 wt.% fluororesin (e.g. polytetrafluoroethylene); and 1-20 wt.% conductive carbon black having an DBP absorption of 360 ml/100 g or above and has a resistivity of 1×100 to 1×1015Ω.cm. If necessary, it may further be compounded with at most 20 wt.%, in total, graphite, talc, mica, clay, etc., alone or in composition. Next, specified amounts of the respective components are premixed with each other by means of e.g. a mixer, a filler, if necessary, is added to the mixture, and the resulting mixture is kneaded and extruded by means of e.g. a twin-screw extruder. The extrudate is pelletized, and the pellets are molded into a sliding member by means of a molding machine.
