PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure tire strength by a belt reinforcing layer even when a belt is formed with one layer to be simplified. SOLUTION: This pneumatic radial tire having a back bone of a carcass 2 comprising radial arrangement code ply extended toroidlikely between a pair of bead parts, is provided with one layer of a belt arranged with steel codes slantingly with respect to an equatorial face of the tire and at least one belt reinforcing layer 4, in an outside of a radial direction of a crown part of the carcass 2. The belt reinforcing layer 4 is constituted by arranging a code comprising a bi-stranded polyolefin ketone fiber or polyether ketone fiber along the equatorial face of the tire.
