PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a costless engaging device of the lug of a gutter support tool excellent in the performance, in which one lug edge can be easily and securely fixed in a single motion, by pushing up from below the gutter in the state that the other lug edge of the gutter is fixed to a fixing part of the lug at one end of the support metal fitting, and the constitution is simplified by eliminating a conventional long hole and a slide pin attached through long hole. SOLUTION: A protrusion is formed so that it is brought into contact with the upper end of a lug edge 32 of a gutter 30 and pushed up to be engaged or disengaged so as to come into contact with the outside face of the lug edge 32 when the gutter 30 is engaged with the lug edge by a fixing piece 4 formed hook-shaped so as to fix the lower jaw of the lug edge 32 from below, and a movable fixing body 6 formed of a ring body vertically slidably held while using a fixed flap 5 as a guide, extended down to the position opposite to the fixing piece 4 with a distance allowing the lug edge to passing through, at least in one lug fixing part 12 of the end of a support tool body 1.
