A device, and method for administering gas to the nostrils (28) of a patient are disclosed. The device (20) includes a gas directing housing (24), and a mouthpiece (22) which are joined to each other by means that maintains the housing in a position for directing gas to the patient's nostrils when the mouthpiece is worn by the patient. The mouthpiece, or a portion thereof, is shaped or shapeable to conform to surfaces of teeth (26) or the edentulous ridge of a patient to removably secure it thereto. |
