PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame spraying material capable of being uniformly and stably spouted from a single powder-spouting hole without causing the separation of the materials by using a conventional spraying device, having improved adhesion, and capable of providing a formed product excellent in thermal shock resistance and corrosion resistance while preventing the meltability of the fine particles from being damaged at the time of spraying, and homogeneously dispersing coarse refractory material in the product formed by the thermal spraying. SOLUTION: This flame spraying material consists of 10-30 wt.% coarse particles having 0.2-0.85 mm particle diameters and composed of an alumina-based raw material or a magnesia-based raw material having >=90% component purity, and the remainder of fine particles having <0.2 mm particle diameters. The fine particles of the former contain the alumina-based raw material and the magnesia-based raw material, and the fine particles of the latter contain the magnesia-based raw material and a calcia- silica-based raw material. These coarse particles and the fine particles are simultaneously mixed at the sprouting time, and homogeneously sprouted from a single powder- sprouting hole so that the bondability may be heightened by the melted fine particles and the coarse particles in a semi-fused state. |
