DISMOUNTABLE MANDREL FOR MANUFACTURE OF HIGH-STRENGTH SHELLS FROM COMPOSITE MATERIALS

FIELD: manufacture of high-strength composite materials. SUBSTANCE: dismountable mandrel has central shaft and segment members installed round it. The segment members are joined to one another with their inclined side faces and secured by rings at their ends. Segment members form with their external profiled surface the mandrel working surface coated with elastoplastic material of rubber type. Rings for fastening of segment members are made with external mounting surfaces for installation and fixation of small diameter flanges to one of them. Installed on the other ring, on the side of shaft withdrawal, is bushing with external mounting surface and circular projection. The latter is designed for basing of large diameter flange with possibility of fixation by its end in preset position by means of screw stops. Screw stops are located on disc installed on free end of shaft. Ring for fastening of segment members, basing and fixation of small diameter flange and bushing for basing and fixation of large diameter flange are provided with profiled circular projections made on their end faces on the side of segment members. Circular projections together with segment members and flanges form annular hollows for formation on coating from elastoplastic material of collars corresponding to their profile and with protruding circular edges. Assembly and disassembly of mandrel is easy. EFFECT: improved strength and reliability. 5 dwg
