The invention concerns a sawing method and a diamond-bearing segment for a cutting tool for hard materials, such as stone, in particular natural stone, concrete and the like, which consists in using a cutting tool, such as a rotary saw, to produce by abrasion in the materials to be cut, at least two substantially parallel grooves (8-10) by forming between them a rib (11) whereof the width and height are such that, when said grooves are produced, said rib (11) is eliminated by successive shearing as the sawing progresses, essentially as a result of friction caused by said tool on said rib. |
