FIELD: production of alumina, in particular, bauxite pressure leaching. SUBSTANCE: method involves preheating bauxite pulp in heaters by self-evaporating leached pulp steam; pumping bauxite pulp through autoclave unit for providing final contact heating of bauxite pulp by steam delivered from central heating and power plant into upper part of autoclave; dispersing pulp in steam.
